AWARDS Prestigious Red Dot Award 2022 for Husqvarna’s K 1 PACE power cutter Husqvarna K 1 PACE highperformance battery power cutter has won the Red Dot Award 2022 for high design quality in the Product Design category. The Red Dot Design award is one of the biggest design competitions in the world. With the recent introduction of K 1 PACE battery power cutter, Husqvarna Construction, a division of Husqvarna Group, took a big step forward to support professional users in the construction industry in the transition towards batterypowered equipment for heavy duty jobs. “This prestigious award and sought-after seal of quality confirms that K 1 PACE is recognized for both its outstanding quality and the potential it offers in terms of optimal power and performance,” Mattias Holmdahl, Global Product Manager Power Cutters, Husqvarna Construction, said. The Red Dot Design Award is one of world’s largest design competitions and an internationally recognized seal of excellent design. In 2022, designers, design offices and manufacturers from around 60 countries entered products in the Red Dot Award in Product Design discipline. Following the motto, “In search of good design and innovation”, 48 international members of the Red Dot jury assessed each product. The design features of the K 1 PACE which the Red Dot jury deemed to be outstanding deliver real operational benefits for professional users. As well as boosting productivity and efficiency, K1 PACE offers cordless convenience, low vibrations, built in X-Halt TM brake function for operational safety and zero direct emissions. “We have set ourselves out to deliver excellent customer experiences and we are very happy and proud of this team effort. The PACE battery system, 94V with capacity up to 750Wh, can be utilized for more machines as the battery-powered family expands. In addition to the power cutters and battery system, diamond blades in 12" and 14"/300 and 350 mm have been optimized for battery operation.
